Our Read-a-Thon is a fundraiser that anyone can participate in to support our work among refugees in Europe. Readers spend 30 days reading and find people willing to sponsor them per page or by set donation. After sending their sponsored funds to us, they receive a prize based on the amount they’ve raised.
The donations given during this Read-a-Thon will help cover the costs of the community centers we run, the visas our long-term staff need, and other general operating costs.
To recruit, send, and organize relief workers, empowering them to provide aid and share hope to the refugees in Greece and beyond.
i58 volunteers serve inside refugee camps in Lesvos and Samos, Greece, in various capacities. Daily activities include shelter allocation, non-food item distributions, teaching English, and social care.
We have a community center located in Lesvos, Greece, as well as Neustadt and Giessen, Germany. In these community centers we serve tea, host Bible studies, teach English, play games, and endeavor to bring hope to refugees in those towns.
After the war began, we began sending volunteers to distribute food inside Ukraine as well as help prepare housing for Ukrainian refugees in Romania.
…to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free… to share your bread with the hungry…
